For all things exclusive and exciting, head down to the Newburgh Quarter, just off Carnaby Street – but do it now or regret it later! It’s all happening in some über-cool pop-up store full of seize-the-moment promises.
Swanfield is a pop-up concept that’s been adding to the fun of the Sunday East End shopping for a while, and now they’re going on tour! From the East to the West End, wherever there’s a hub of independent stores and off-the-wall style, Swanfield are bringing their eclectic mix of young designers, emerging artists, alternative music and cupcakes. Don’t miss out on this great gig on now and only until mid-September.
If you’re looking for an extra excuse to pop down and have a look (do you really need another one?), then remember it’s Lilli Vanilli Cake Party on Thursday 6 August, plus late shopping with live music acts every Thursday on. I think I’ve got my weekly Soho night out sorted!
It can definitely get more international. It’s not just across the channel we are going this time, but all the way to the other side of the pond. The resident indie designers at Newburgh Quarter are trading spots with their New Yorker counterparts, welcoming talents from the Lower East side for ‘Wish You Were Here’.
This is an unprecedented event, which will involve around 30 fashion, accessories and lifestyle brands in a major swap – truly inspirational! All designers taking part in the project will be completely new to each city. Londoners will be first up, ‘moving’ to NY in September, and in October it will be the Americans’ turn to bring a breath of fresh creativity to us.
Expect a full extravaganza – again, it’s not just the pop-up stores, but the music, the food and the artists – culminating in the edgiest Halloween party this year.
