If you are a Louis Vuitton fan and a green finger, the new LV store opening today in Westfield London will definitely be you cup of tea.

After a spot of retail therapy, you can explore the urban garden in transportable bags designed by Turner prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller just outside the store.

"A good garden is a work of art in itself and the British love of gardens extends from the practical allotment to the manicured lawn. In London we have to appreciate nature wherever we can find it and my installation will reflect this; combining the strange beauty of the scarecrow with a mobile urban vegetable patch," says Jeremy Deller.

The mobile garden will be donated to the Hammersmith Community Gardens Association as part of a regeneration project in Hammersmith with a social commitment to give gardens back to the community.

Louis Vuitton is the latest luxury brand to join Gucci, Burberry, Christian Dior, De Beers, Tiffany & Co and others in the much-hyped boutique-style space The Village. Designed by leading US architects Michael Gabellini and Kimberly Sheppard, known for their award-winning 'Top of the Rock' observation deck in New York's Rockefeller Centre.

The Village has had a somewhat slow start, some of the big names like Gucci and Dior failed to open at the official opening, but it looks like Louis Vuitton might be breathing in much needed retail boost to Westfield. It isn’t Bond Street but definitely a great substitute for West London shoppers.
